This was something I saw in Manuel Moreale’s RSS feed. At the end of every entry, he’s got a little “Thanks for keeping RSS alive” message. I decided I wanted something similar, so I spent some time this afternoon tinkering with my feed generation shell scripts and implemented it. It took some work but I eventually got it.
If the updated RSS feed doesn’t show up for you in the next day or two, you might want to unsubscribe and resubscribe. That should force your reader to refresh. Of course, you’ll have to mark all my posts as read. Sorry about that.
