The Sword: “Locomotive Breath”

This cover’s a pleasant surprise from a band I thought broken up.

I hadn’t expected The Sword to get back together since officially breaking up in 2022 after going on hiatus in 2018. Nonetheless, here they are doing a cover of “Locomotive Breath” by Jethro Tull.

Apparently it’s for a tribute album: Aqualung Redux. Brave Words has the details.

Too bad they didn’t record this in 2014 so that Bandai Namco could use it in the Dark Souls II trailer.

Not the the original doesn’t stand on its own. If it didn’t, who would bother covering it over fifty years after its release?
