full-stack practical magick: UNIX, Emacs, and webcraft

For your reading convenience, I also provide plain text.

This section contains notes on stuff I’ve figured out how to do with my computers, all of which are secondhand, refurbished business-class machines running Debian GNU/Linux. I not only do my own webcraft with basic UNIX tools, but I’ve learned to do a bit of shell scripting, I’m my own sysadmin, and I even dabble in Emacs Lisp so that I can customize GNU Emacs to my liking.

I do it because personal computing should be precisely that. I don’t want my computers programming me. And, frankly, knowing that a computer will execute my commands as typed is comforting.

I’m sharing some of what I’ve learned here in case it’s of use to others. However, there is no warranty; I guarantee nothing save that it worked for me on my own machines.
